I stopped in to let my family use the restroom and wash off my windshield. As my family was loading up the manager (an older gentlemen) asked me if I was getting any gas today. I said we were fine and thanked him for asking. He then said "oh so you're just here for all the free stuff then?" And huffed off before I could respond. It was a negative interaction to say the least. The manager then stood in the shop window and stared at me while we loaded up and left. Took all my effort to not flip the dude off.
There is nothing on the premises saying that the bathrooms are for paying customers only. Just a passive aggressive note on the bathroom door that asks you to let paying customers use the bathroom first.
Small but very very nice people. Typical small town middle America will help anyone type people. Reasonable on the prices too.
I would give it zero stars! Stopped to let kid use bathroom, then go in to get a drink. A man came out cursing at us saying it’s not a rest stop if you don’t need gas then go elsewhere. He was cursing in front of my children and trying to write our license plate down. Would not recommend this place to anyone.
If I could give this place zero stars. No wait. Negative stars I would. As others have mentioned it is run by hateful individuals who don't believe that part of running a gas station is hospitality.
Don't stop here. There is a rest stop five minutes up the road. Take your money and time elsewhere. This place does not deserve it.
Keep going to Salina or Russell. No need to stop here unless you cant make it another 30 miles.
My husband and I stopped due to my 4 year old having a restroom emergency! On the way out I said thank you SO Much!! The owner snapped " You should be nice and buy something. Thank you don't pay the bills." We had planned on buying snacks but I was upset by the rudeness and walked out.
